April 2009 - Having just completed our spring series of tours, we would like to congratulate our ODP teams who participated in games against pro-clubs, national teams, regional teams and academy teams in Scotland, Denmark, Sweden and Italy.

December 2008 -- Former Excel trip participant and ODP player, Malcolm Harris spent his Thanksgiving week training and playing with the youth professional academy at Glasgow Celtic, one of Europe’s highest profile clubs. This was Harris’ second week-long training visit to Celtic, after being scouted in 2007 on an Olympic Development Program trip to Scotland with Excel International Sports. While with the Celtics, Malcolm played games against other pro academy teams, trained under academy coaches, and was a ball boy in front of 60,000 people for Celtic SPL’s game against Inverness!

Excel International Sports’ relationship with Glasgow Celtic has produced many opportunities for ODP teams to participate in games against their pro academy teams. Further details on Celtic’s Academy can be seen at
http://www.celticfc.net/home/Academy/academy.aspx Glasgow Celtic will continue to monitor Malcolm’s progress with the Maryland ODP and the U.S. Youth National team.
December 2008 -- The value of the US and Canadian Dollars are both increasing against the British Pound.  In Summer 2008 the US and Canadian Dollars were over 2:1 against the British Pound.  Now, rates have fallen below $1.50 US to £1.00 and below $1.80 CAD to £1.00, which is great news to our clients from the US and Canada!  We expect the value to continue to drop for our Summer 2009 trips.  So, consider taking your team to the British Isles!
