For many years Excel International Sports has followed its mission of bringing people from North America to different countries to participate in the world's greatest game while breaking down barriers of language, culture, and geography. As world travelers, we make it our mission to enhance your cultural and sports awareness.
MEET OUR STAFF
Eric McAleer - Managing Director
Eric McAleer, Company Founder and Owner, was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. He formed Excel International Sports in 1997 due to his background in professional soccer, education and travel. He help to lead the first Excel Sports soccer tour in the Summer of 1998 to the United Kingdom. Since then, Eric has traveled with many of our groups to such countries as Denmark, Ireland, England, Scotland, Italy, Spain, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Czech Republic, Portugal, Norway and Iceland.

Mignon McAleer - Finance and Development Manager
Mignon McAleer, Company Co-founder, manages all of our financing and accounting in the Excel Sports North American office. She accepts her responsibilities with personal involvement, motivation and integrity. Her tools? The passion and motivating strength she embraced as manager of a real estate law company; the discipline and leadership skills she has acquired in running her own business; the scrupulous and cost effective practice she undertakes in administrating a company’s fiscal resources in the travel industry.
Sara Kenney - Administrative and Marketing Assistant
Sara Kenney started as an intern with Excel Sports in the Fall of 2007, after she graduated in Winter 2007 from the University of Maryland with a degree in Communication she joined our team full-time. She is the primary contact for our groups with regards to the logistics of their tours. She handles a wide variety of responsibilities including managing details such as flights and hotels to creating newsletters, brochures and updating our website. She recently traveled with our groups to Scotland. Sara has also traveled to England, France and Italy.
Shirli King - Ticketing Agent
Shirli has worked with Excel International Sports for the last seven years and has thirty-five years experience in the travel industry. Shirli works with all of our groups on airline ticketing and any deviations. She also assists with our alternative travel arrangements that may be needed for families and others who may be looking to extend their trip.
OUR AGENTS
Rich Ryerson - USYSA Region IV
Rich is our representative to the USYSA Region IV teams. He is the Director of Coaching for the Downtown Las Vegas Soccer Club and a staff coach for the Nevada State ODP. He has a strong background in international soccer travel, and has visited Sweden, Denmark, England, France, Italy, Spain, and Greece.
